Sandy Washington~KCC Board President
Sandy Washington currently works for BMO Harris Bank. Sandy’s career in banking spans over 30 years, managing branches, investment sales and private banking. Previous to her current position she was with Commerce Bank and U.S. Bank where she was responsible for sales management and operations of 19 branches in the St. Louis area. She also held positions executing Retail Banking investment sales programs and in Private Banking where she developed new business and provided private banking services to high net worth customers.
Sandy is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking and received a Bachelor of Science in Business and Finance from Maryville University. Sandy is active in the community and is Vice Chair of the Greentree Festival, President of Kirkwood Rotary Club, serves on the Board of Directors for St. Clare Hospital, Kirkwood-Webster Family YMCA, Miriam School Foundation, and Kirkwood Children’s Chorale. Sandy and her husband, David have two children, Geoffrey and Amanda, and reside in Kirkwood, MO. Amanda is a graduate of Kirkwood Children's Chorale. While singing with KCC, Amanda traveled with the Concert Choir to the Pacific Rim Chorale Festival in Hawaii, performed with KCC at Disney World and toured China. She has also served as Chorale Intern with KCC for two years.
Charles Basuino has been married for 22 years and has three children and three grand-children. He works at Reinsurance Group of America where he is an Executive Director of Finance, and has been with Reinsurance Group of America since October 1992. He was born in New York City and now resides in St. Louis. He has been affiliated with KCC for seven years seeing my daughter Mira go through the program and now seeing my grand-daughter Chloe doing the same. He is a former President of The St. Louis Chapter of the Insurance Accounting and Statistical Association, a Past President of RGA Risk Talkers (Toast Masters), a past member of the Executive Fund Raising Committee for St. Elizabeth’s Academy, and a member of the Executive Committee for RGA’s American Heart Association campaign. He has 44 years of experience in the Insurance/Reinsurance industry.
Dr. Beverly Fears, has been active with KCC in a variety of roles since her eldest child joined KCC in the fall of 2000. She is the mother of two KCC alumni and has served on the Parent Board and various committees. She has the pleasure of traveling on numerous tours with KCC including Austria &Germany, England, Hawaii, China, Italy and Ireland. Dr. Fears is a Clinnical Specialist for Advanced Bionics, LLC. Bev is a life long musician and she has a passion for KCC that is unmatched. She joined the KCC Board in February of 2012.
Brian Klein is the Treasurer for our KCC Administrative Board. Brian joined the Board in December of 2011 and is an enthusiastic volunteer in any area where he is needed! He is an Intellectual Property Counsel for The Boeing Company. Brian and his lovely wife and darling girls live in Kirkwood. His oldest daughter has sung with KCC for several years.
Vinnie is a retired Parkway educator who is an advocate of the arts for children. In her education career Vinnie has been a classroom teacher and curriculum coordinator, as well as Barretts Elementary School Principal for 23 years. She has enjoyed being on the KCC Board since 2008 and has served as both Parent & Volunteer Coordinator during that time.
Brad Schaefer is a past KCC member ’99 – ’04 and is the newest member to the board. During his time with KCC he sang with the choir as they traveled to Branson, MO, Scotland, and Austria – Germany. Also while involved with KCC he participated in State, Regional, and National ACDA (American Choral Directors Association) choirs in the following cities: Jefferson City, MO, Kansas City, MO, Houston, TX, New York, NY, and Los Angeles, CA. Brad received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a Master’s in the Art of Education from Truman State University. Currently he works for the Kirkwood School District as a health and physical education instructor at Nipher Middle School and as football coach for the high school.
