The Choirs

Currently, more than 200 children from 50 St. Louis Area schools are members of KCC. The Chorale is comprised of five levels of choirs.

Carolers

Tracy St. Clair, Director

A non-auditioned preparatory choir for students in 2nd grade and up. It serves as an introduction to choral singing, and focuses on beginning vocal techniques (posture, breath control, tone production, pitch matching and ear training) though literature, games and movement activities.

Choristers

Patricia Wootten, Director

An entry-level choir for inexperienced singers. The fundamentals of choral singing are introduced with emphasis on posture, breathing, tone production, pitch matching and ear training.

Choraliers

Mimi Steele, Director

An intermediate choir for those who have completed the Choristers' training or are advanced beginners. Vocal training is continued with two-part music and rhythmic and melodic music reading.

Cambiata Singers

Jeff Lackey, Director

A choir that is for advanced intermediate singers. Musical independence is developed, as well as ensemble singing skills. Musical interpretation and reading are stressed.

Concert Choir

Bridget Zimmerman, Director

The Concert Choir performs for community events, clubs, conventions, churches and weddings. They perform the highest quality children's literature from around the world. The Concert Choir has performed in England, Germany, and Norway and has won awards in state, national and international competition.
