KCC Admin BoardSandy Washington~KCC Board President~2011 Sandy Washington joined Commerce Bank in 2003 and is responsible for a group of retail branches in the Central and North areas of St. Louis County. Sandy also manages a group of Small Business Bankers, who offer innovative and resourceful solutions for small business owners in the St. Louis area.
Sandy’s career in banking spans 31 years, managing branches, investment sales and private banking. Previous to Commerce Bank, Sandy was with U.S. Bank where she was responsible for sales management and operations of 19 branches in the St. Louis area. She also held positions executing Retail Banking investment sales programs and in Private Banking where she developed new business and provided private banking services to high net worth customers.
Sandy is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking and received a Bachelor of Science in Business and Finance from Maryville University. Sandy is active in the community and is Vice Chair of the Greentree Festival, President of Kirkwood Rotary Club, serves on the Board of Directors for St. Clare Hospital, Kirkwood-Webster Family YMCA, Miriam School Foundation, and Kirkwood Children’s Chorale.
Sandy lives with her husband, David and two children, Geoffrey 17 and Amanda 14 in Kirkwood, Missouri. Amanda is a recent graduate of Kirkwood Children's Chorale. While singing with KCC, Amanda traveled with the Concert Choir to the Pacific Rim Chorale Festival in Hawaii, performed with KCC at Disney World and has recently returned from the Kirkwood Children's Chorale's Tour to China. Annette Burkhart~ Annette is an accomplished piano soloist & she is on the piano faculty of Washington University. She was also the accompanist for Concert Choir for four years. Martha Craighead~ Marti is a Registered Nurse with many years of experience in the healthcare field, primarily Emergency/Trauma & Occupational Health, both as a staff nurse & a manager. She is currently employed at Barnes Jewish Hospital as an Infection Prevention Specialist. Marti holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management with a minor in psychology from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida as well as an MBA from Webster University. Marti is the immediate past president of our local professional association chapter & also serves at the national level as the EMS/Public Safety Section chairperson. Marti's involvement with KCC began 4 years ago when her granddaughter joined Mrs. Steele's choir. Marti states, " It is a fabulous opportunity for children & I am proud to serve on the Administrative Board!" Curtis Fears~
Curtis Fears, along with his wife Beverly, has been active with KCC in a variety of roles since his eldest child joined KCC in the fall of 2000. He is the father of two KCC alumns, a daughter and a son.
He has acted as a volunteer in the KCC Office, served on the Parent Board and various committees, helped plan trips and tours, acted a chaperone and been an ambassador for KCC. He has also been the "official" photographer for KCC since 2004.
Curtis graduated from Quincy (College) University in 1987 with a B.A. in History. While there, he was a member of several singing ensembles including Chamber Choir, Madrigals, Jazz Choir and the Swing Choir. He as also active in the theatre department appearing on stage in three musicals.
Curtis has also served on the boards of the St. Louis Civil War Round Table (President) and the Association for Instrumental Music (AIM) for the Kirkwood School District (Scholarhip Chairman).
Stephanie Kessler-Alumni Representative Stephanie Kessler graduated from KCC in 2000 and participated in the Bournmoth International Choir Festival, England, Pacific International Choral Festival in Eugene, Oregan and Norway KCC Concert Tour. She credits the Kirkwood Children's Chorale for her passion for music, international travel, and nonprofit work. Stephanie earned her BA in International Relations in 2006 and MBA in 2009 from Webster University, and holds the position of Assistant Director of the International Business Internship Exchange at Webster University. Ms. Kessler is an active board member of the Webster University Alumni Association, Young Friends of the Missouri Botanical GardenCouncil, charter member of KWMU Young Friend Board. Stephanie is honored to serve as the Alumni Representative on the KCC Administrative Board. Stephanie’s vocal talents are often featured in her shower and car. Antona Smith~ Antona is a KCC parent of 2 singers, Kiden & Keziah. She is an educator & she has extensive expertise in events & marketing. We welcome Antona to our KCC Administrative Board in August~2011! Scott Wanamaker~Attorney at Law Vinnie Warner~ Vinnie is a retired Parkway educator who is an advocate of the arts for children. In her education career Vinnie has been a classroom teacher and curriculum coordinator, as well as Barretts Elementary School Principal for 23 years. She has enjoyed being on the KCC Board since 2008 and has served as both Parent & Volunteer Coordinator during that time.
Eric Wood~ Eric Wood has served on the Kirkwood Children's Chorale Board for 4 years. Mr. Wood graduated from the University of Missouri Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Economics. After graduation Mr. Wood worked for 2 years as an Internal Specialist for a large retirement plan distribution company. His responsibilities there included helping financial advisors in his territory understand retirement plans, tax consequences and benefits, and asset allocation. In 2002 he joined Wood Financial Partners to work with his Father. Mr. Wood has qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table each year of his career and maintains his licenses in several states around the country. |
